Research Interests

    Since the end of the 5 year Master at the Faculty of Biology UAM in 1997 I try to extend the knowledge and contribute to better understanding of aquatic ecosystem functioning. Recently I have been focused on ecology and toxicity of native and alien cyanobacteria, biogeography of invasive cyanobacterium Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii and use of diatoms as indicators of ecological status of the surface waters and natural threats including tsunami events, floods etc. Moreover, I am involved in isolating of cyanobacteria strains and maintaining its in culture collection.
